Chapter 51: The Dark Valley - 4
Silas’s POV
"What are you looking at?" I asked.
"I’m checking if anyone is around or not because I’m kinda sleepy right now. I thought I should ask them for a blanket and a pillow."
"You’re kidding, right?"
As I asked, Theron glanced at me with a smile. Of course, he was joking, but couldn’t he at least consider our situation before making a joke?
"But Theron, you have amazing strength. Can you tell me how you got it?"
We were in a dungeon, and it wasn’t like staying silent would help us escape any faster. So why not talk to kill time? I was sure Nekol must have realized by now that I had disappeared, and Theron’s brothers too—they must have started searching for us.
"When I was born, I heard I was really weak. Unlike other Alphas, I couldn’t even stand on my legs. My parents always gave me extra care. But when I was ten, someone bullied my younger brother."
As he spoke, he suddenly sat down, so I sat beside him. I had a feeling there was a deeper story behind his strength, and I was sure I’d end up crying by the end of it.
"When I saw them bullying him—he was badly hurt—that’s when I realized if I didn’t want to be bullied, I had to become powerful. So, I went into the mountains and started meditating."
"And guess what? In five years, I became a great fighter. After that, I was never scared of anyone."
