Chapter 33: It’s so embarrassing
Silas ’s POV
"Well, it’s nothing. It’s just that the chef here doesn’t like to take my order."
"Huh? Why?" Lysander started looking at the chef.
"Chef, why are you being biased?" Lysander’s voice was cold, and it was my first time hearing him like this. I thought he only knew how to speak in a sweet tone.
"Lysander, it doesn’t matter." I was about to fill my plate with food from the counter when Lysander suddenly held my hand to stop me. I glanced at him.
"Is this why the company hired you, Chef? Does the CEO know about this behavior of yours?"
Whoa, that was cool. The chef looked like he was about to chicken out after hearing Lysander.
"He’s just a newbie here, so why are you taking his side, Lysander?"
"It doesn’t matter if he’s a newbie. The point is, you’re here to serve everyone equally, without favoritism. But instead, you’re treating them based on their status."
Lysander glanced at me, then turned back to the chef.
"You serve the best food only to those who have become actors, and you give leftovers to the newbies? Just wait, I’m going to report you."
