Stelle was always straightforward and did whatever she wanted, which was also one of the reasons people didn’t like her. Even though they acted amiable to her face, they couldn’t hide it from her whose intuition was high.
So, after thinking for some time, she threw her head back and thought, ’Who cares about anything? I just want to be happy, and I will achieve it no matter what.’
And her happiness lay with her sister and Max.
’Wait! If she doesn’t get together with Dummy, then she would marry someone else? Doesn’t that mean we will be separated?’
That thought horrified her to the core. She had always lived with her sister and shared everything with her. Wasn’t that the reason they had worked so hard to annul her previous arranged engagement?
She took a deep breath, finally making a decision, and turned around to face Max once again. She held his hand, surprising him, and got closer.
Looking directly into his eyes, she asked, "How confident are you in wooing my sister?"
Although a little taken aback, Max didn’t back away and smiled back with confidence, "More than you can imagine."
"Then, what about my clan? What are you going to do with them? They’ll definitely oppose this relationship," Stelle asked, shifting even closer.
