The disciple—a clean-faced young man with an orderly bun and the blank, bureaucratic expression of someone who had processed far too many merit transactions—took the token, inspected it, then placed it onto a formation plate.
With a hum and a flicker of pale blue light, the merit points were transferred. A notification flickered briefly across Han Yu’s token as the balance jumped by one hundred and fifty thousand.
"Reward transfer complete," the disciple said without inflection. "Now, you’re entitled to one additional reward: either a Spirit Tool or an alchemical pill. Please choose."
Han Yu raised an eyebrow. "That’s it? No list? No limits?"
The disciple gave him a brief look—half bored, half annoyed. "There are conditions. You may select any Spirit Tool below the High Grade tier. As for alchemical pills, you may immediately request any that are currently available from the repository inventory. If you wish for a custom concoction or one that isn’t in stock, you must file an application and have it approved by an alchemist elder. Processing may take anywhere from three to ten days, depending on complexity."
