Chapter 185: Well Earned Rewards
Han Yu’s gaze lingered on the departing elder. His qi skills had grown stronger. His body was healing faster.
Even his Soul qi had increased a bit from the Eight Emotions Energy he had absorbed during the fight. His battle experience was rising. But none of it mattered if the sect itself came under siege.
He clenched his fists.
’If they come... I’ll be ready.’
Even if it meant chaos.
The trio departed the Mission hall for some well deserved rest.
The next day dawned warm and lazy.
Han Yu awoke later than usual for once, his limbs sore but no longer aching, and his qi moving smoothly within his dantian. It was the first time in days he wasn’t bleeding, bruised, or on the verge of being turned into salamander chow.

They had been allowed a full day of rest by Elder Gu Wei of the Mission Hall, and each of them took it in their own way. Wu Shuan returned to his courtyard to meditate. Fatty Kui had apparently vanished into the outer sect’s dining pavilion and was last seen surrounded by empty bowls, snoring gently into a pile of buns.
Han Yu, meanwhile, had spent the day lounging on a stone by the koi pond behind the Servants’ Hall, feeding fish stale crackers and contemplating life like a half-baked philosopher.
