Chapter 35: Fishy Success And The Mad Man’s Return
Having failed at his first attempt, Han Yu was not discouraged, though his dignity had taken a hit. He soon spotted a few more fish lazily swimming near him, completely unaware of the vendetta that had just been declared against their kind.
Han Yu's eyes lit up with determination, his previous anger at the fish that had outwitted him flaring back to life.
"Not letting you go this time!" he muttered, picking up his broken spear and thrusting it into the water with renewed vigor.
SPLASH!
The water rippled violently as the spear tore through it. The swirling waves made it difficult to see what had happened, but a second later, a telltale red hue began to spread in the water.
Han Yu pulled on the spear and felt a weight resisting his pull.
"Could it be...?" He yanked the spear out with all his strength. "HAHA! I FINALLY GOT IT! SERVES YOU RIGHT, YOU FISHY BASTARDS!" Han Yu thrust the spear into the air triumphantly like a warrior returning from battle.
An unfortunate fish was skewered at the end of his weapon, its body still twitching in what could only be described as pure betrayal.
With his first success, Han Yu felt like an unstoppable force and continued his merciless assault on the aquatic world. Even if he didn't particularly need the fish, he had a personal score to settle.
SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH!
Over the next ten minutes, Han Yu aggressively stabbed at the water, managing to spear two more victims in his frenzy. The river had officially declared him an enemy of the state.
