Chapter 16: Defining the Relationship, A Passionate Night
"Huh?" Crysic stared blankly, confused as she looked at Johnnie.
It didn't seem like anything had crossed a line between them, except for the fact that they were living together. But nothing had happened between them.
Johnnie smiled and continued, "This report... we can't really clear it up. It wouldn't be good for your reputation either. Let's just openly admit it."
Crysic lowered her head, her heart pounding in her chest. With hesitation, she asked, "Johnnie, are you... serious?"
She was filled with anticipation and nervousness, longing for an answer but also afraid of it.
She had been following Johnnie for six years, and during that time, there had been several suitors. If she didn't have feelings for him or some sort of hope, why would she have remained single all this time?
Johnnie looked at her bashful expression, raised a hand to gently lift her chin, and then leaned down to kiss her deeply.
"Mmm..." Crysic's eyes widened in shock, her body tensing up as she didn't know how to react.
It wasn't until their lips finally parted, her teeth gently touched, that she completely lost her ability to think. Her arms instinctively wrapped around Johnnie's neck, responding clumsily, awkwardly.
After a long while, their lips parted.
