Douluo: Manifesting the Black Abyss and White Flower at the Start

Chapter 483 - 482: The Journey Continues (END)

Lu Jingming opened his eyes a little. The first thing he saw was the lofty and sacred mountain, climbed so innocently last night. Slowly, he raised his head and let his gaze fall upon the face of the woman beside him. Jingliu was still sleeping. The beautiful face, usually covered in a layer of ice that had not melted for millennia, barely showed any trace of weariness in this moment. Her long eyelashes cast soft shadows beneath her eyelids. The blood-hued eyes that once frightened countless powerful beings were now peacefully closed. Gone were all sharpness and frost—sleeping, she looked like any normal, beautiful woman, finally able to lay down her burdens.

For no particular reason, Lu Jingming felt his heart soften. He knew this tiredness did not come solely from the struggles and exchanges of last night. It also came from the weight placed upon her heart by countless years—a mist of the past that had never truly dissipated. And now, that mist had finally been torn apart by him, in the most direct and decisive fashion. He bent down and, filled with compassion and tenderness, planted a soft kiss on those slightly reddened, cool lips. Jingliu's eyelashes trembled slightly, as if sensing something, but she did not awaken.

Lu Jingming smiled, carefully withdrawing his arm from beneath her neck. Then, he gently drew a light quilt over her, shielding her perfect body from the cold air. After all this, he did not linger any longer. Silently, he left the bedroom overflowing with a beautiful serenity.

Standing upon the observation deck of Haiyuan City, Lu Jingming gazed at the handrail before him. His heart drifted farther than the deep sea—across the past, and into the future.

True Star God…

These words symbolize not just the pinnacle of power, but also the highest state of existence. They mean "authority to fulfill."

Once, all he could do was accept destined stories and endings passively. He pitied those regretful souls who perished in each world.

But now, everything is different.

He can rewrite those regrets. He has the power to grant wishes.

His strength is not just for conquest—but also to ensure that those he loves, and all whom he holds dear, will never have to weep again.

His gaze was deeper than ever; his thoughts were syncing with the entire reality of the cosmos. The first that came to his mind was Jingliu. He thought about the lively, sun-bright fox girl.

To protect her friends, the heroine named Bai Heng ended up shattered—leaving an unhealed scar upon Jingliu's heart.

"Then..."

Lu Jingming whispered,

"Let this be my first wish."

He slowly closed his eyes, and in an instant, his consciousness transcended time and space. He arrived at the ocean of logic beneath the multiverse—an endless sea of information and concepts. He reached out and plucked a note.

Countless fragments of memory related to Bai Heng began to gather, turning from phantom into reality, birthing her anew within this universe—including her companions: Jingliu, Jing Yuan, and Dan Heng. Lu Jingming made them all real. Then, in the name of the True Star God, he declared to the universe:

"Bai Heng shall live in this world."

And in that instant:

Upon a sacred star, amid a silent valley flashing with neon blossoms, light converged.

A young girl, with long white hair and fluffy fox ears, wearing a strong suit, gradually took form.

She opened her eyes—slightly confused—looked at her real hand, and gazed at the unfamiliar scene.

"I... This is... Where am I?"

...After this, Lu Jingming did not stop.

He recalled Yae Sakura, the pitiful shrine maiden sealed by her beloved friend.

He remembered how that yearning had haunted her heart for years—the sadness over the white-haired girl Kallen who she could never forget.

"My second wish."

He thought of the brave Valkyrie with the strongest fate at that time, who died fighting for the people, as her organization waned—her story was never meant to end in tragedy.

On the opposite side of the divine star, in a white church Lu Jingming temporarily created,

a girl with snow-white hair and eyes as pure as the sky slowly woke from the prayer bench.

"Is this... heaven?"

Kallen Kaslana muttered in slight confusion.

Immediately afterward,

came the third.

In the small crimson jade orb, he sensed a strong yearning for a younger sister—but this was not Yae Sakura, but another—an even colder and purer swordswoman known as Setsuna. She is the eighth of The Thirteen Flame-Chasers. He saw the pink shadow of her, who died in battle to protect her sister and humanity. He once again gathered her indomitable soul, gone in an instant, and bestowed a new truth upon her.

...And again.

Raiden Ei, Kitsune Saiguu... let them all be fulfilled.

Lu Jingming slowly opened his eyes. His look never changed. By now, all this was as effortless as waving a hand.

When Jingliu awoke in the morning light, the first thing she saw was not her man—but the very person she once believed only existed in eternal nightmares.

"Jingliu, finally awake? Slept like a pig, you know."

That teasing yet familiar voice resonated in her ears, into her very soul.

Jingliu suddenly sat up, staring at her best friend before her—fuzzy fox ears on her head, a bright smile on her lips, and scarlet eyes that instantly blurred with irrepressible tears.

"Bai... Heng..."

She reached out her hand, hesitant to touch—afraid this was just a phantom, that it would shatter like a dream.

"Yeah, it's me."

Bai Heng gripped her hand and smiled:

"What, don't recognize an old friend?"

The true warmth of that touch finally undid Jingliu's restraint—she threw her arms around her friend's neck.

Similar joyous scenes unfolded everywhere:

Yae Sakura, beneath the cherry tree, met at last with the white-haired Valkyrie Kallen she yearned for.

Higokumaru threw herself into Sakura's arms in euphoria.

Even the Raiden Makoto and Yae Miko met with their own lost kin: Raiden Ei and the Kitsune Saiguu.

All regrets—one by one—resolved beneath true authority.

The sad pasts now blossomed into happy endings.

Lu Jingming watched peacefully from afar. His happiness overflowed.

Only, such a happy ending—where everyone finds joy—felt a bit cliched. But he did not mind at all, since everything he did was only to see heartfelt smiles on the faces of those he cherished.

Time passed like a fleeting moment—an instant, a century went by.

Across the last hundred years, the Haiyuan League prospered in an almost explosive fashion. Its influence surpassed the boundaries of the original Douluo Federation. The Herta spearheaded technological advancement with universe-tech packed into a single vessel, leaving bright star-trails across the cosmos, linking everything in a vast neural network. Travel and communication between galaxies became as easy as city-hopping.

The Haiyuan League's reach extended to every corner of the universe.

Civilizations once beyond reach now glittered as coordinates upon their map.

The Pantheon grew greater still. On this land, the Douluo Star was again nourished by divine power, birthing a new generation of extraordinary gods.

Countless powerful gods from other dimensions joined, merging into the new god-system shaped by the True Star God.

Within not even a hundred years, the number of planets under the League's control—or indirect influence—reached tens of thousands, vastly surpassing the once-legendary Douluo Divine Realm.

Amongst this ever-growing domain, Lu Jingming saw many familiar faces from distant memories.

The knight, Long Haochen, who held the divine seal throne.

Beside him—the beautiful blind female assassin, Sheng Cai'er.

The undead calamity that shook the entire Holy Demon Continent itself had, with Lu Jingming's help, allowed the full resurrection of Electrolux. Electrolux then joined the Pantheon.

When his own disciples—already gods—Long Haochen and Sheng Cai'er, were recognized as true deities, countless gods were moved.

Today's Haiyuan League was no longer just the small coalition of empires and soulbeast clans of old.

Beneath this flag—symbolizing truth and exploration—countless forces from different races, civilizations, beliefs gathered as one.

Within just one hundred years, the League became the true cosmic hegemony of this universe.

Behind all this, the contributions of Herta and Ruan Mei—the intellectual leaders—could not be overlooked. Under their lead, Haiyuan tech leaped forward, almost unreasonably so, to stand at the summit of all civilizations. The "Astral Express", which Lu Jingming longed for, was built by The Herta. It now anchored quietly on a sacred star, upon its own monumental platform, awaiting its true owner.

Thanks to the Star God's authority, fantasy-born phantom planes became primary exploration targets of the League—for all knew that the power and knowledge contained within those realms would be the keys for further evolution and transcendence.

Everything proceeded smoothly.

When there was nothing in the cosmos left worthy of his direct involvement,

Lu Jingming quietly withdrew into the background.

He passed on the supreme authority—the title "Lord of the Haiyuan League"—to his son, Lu Xingtong. For a once-ignorant teenager, a century was more than enough to become a true man. After all, his father was none other than Lu Jingming.

With support from Lu Jingming, Lu Xingtong broke the shackles of god-kings and became a true "Supreme God King."

His strength now stands atop this universe, overlooking all living things. His calm, sharp demeanor was more than enough to shoulder the fate of the cosmos.

The past century was never dull.

Under the leadership of Sparkle and Vita—incorrigible "fun-makers" who thrived on chaos—and with companions like Lu Xintong, his now-unparalleled sister Lu Mingyin, and their circle of friends, nearly every corner of the universe was explored. They pioneered fantasy dimensions, met wondrous civilizations, and caused countless outrageous mishaps along the way. Their growth was never slow.

At last—on one clear afternoon, everything was ready.

Lu Jingming brought his wives and most precious daughter, Lu Mingyin, on board a shimmering, futuristic Astral Express. Lu Xingtong stood on the platform with friends, seeing them off.

"Father."

Lu Xingtong looked firmly at Lu Jingming standing at the car door. His scarlet gaze, full of confidence, was just like his father's.

"Leave home in my hands."

"Very well."

Lu Jingming smiled and nodded, looking into his son's eyes with a hint of relief. He never said too much—between father and son, there was no need.

With that, he turned and entered the train's cabin. The heavy door gradually shut.

"Woo—"

A long, clear whistle echoed—not the roar of steam, but the chorus of stars, a blessing from the universe.

The shining Astral Express slowly pulled away from the platform.

It did not head toward a familiar trail of starlight.

Instead, it accelerated straight into the empty, infinite void,

and at last—

With a deep, world-shaking hum,

the long train struck the crystal wall—

the invisible boundary dividing the entire universe.

Space shattered like a broken mirror, fragments falling away.

A passage appeared, filled with the unknown and endless possibilities.

The Astral Express plunged into it without hesitation.

In the next moment, the broken cosmos healed instantly, as if nothing had happened.

Only the final whistle, lingering in space, seemed to bid silent farewell to the world they loved.

A journey stretching across heavens and all worlds—a journey of pioneering—had truly begun.

Let it start!
