Chapter 102 Remember That Day (4)_1
"How’s business?" Rachel Bailey picked a few apples and asked the middle-aged man to weigh them.
"I make enough for a meal, but can’t earn the big bucks," the middle-aged man smiled and told Rachel Bailey the total was twelve yuan.
Rachel Bailey gave him twenty yuan, and he gave her eight yuan in change. Then he mounted his bicycle again, slowing down as he continued towards other more secluded or older streets.
Watching the man’s retreating figure, Rachel Bailey decided to give it a try herself.
However, she didn’t plan on selling fruits. If the fruits didn’t sell, they would rot over time. She decided to wholesale some clothes, which wouldn’t spoil if not sold for a while.
Thinking this, Rachel Bailey immediately turned her bicycle around and headed back to the Emerald Garden Building, not bothering to scout the market but instead searching online for a clothing wholesaler.
The variety of clothes online dazzled her, and she was unsure which ones to stock up on.
After looking for a while, she calmed her mind and thought carefully. These days, it’s the girls who love to shop for clothes, so stocking up on women’s apparel would likely yield good sales. Men, not fond of haggling, would buy less, so I’ll have to moderate the stock for them. Children’s clothes, though, are the easiest to sell. With so many only children, parents will skimp on themselves but ensure their kids eat the best and wear the best.
During the days she surveyed the market, Rachel Bailey noticed this trend: anything sold for children always did well.
Thus, she decided to stock up on children’s clothing as well.
