The grand wedding entourage was headed towards the Emperor Hotel.
Ignoring the fact that she had just infuriated Hansen Ruiz, Rachel Bailey swiftly lifted her dress. She walked over to his car, pulled open his door, quickly got in, and then slammed the door shut with a loud BANG.
Hansen Ruiz chuckled. "Miss Bailey, I kindly invited you into my car. Please be a bit more gentle, will you? This car is worth millions."
"Sorry, my hand slipped." Rachel Bailey stuck out her tongue at him.
Hansen Ruiz shook his head and smiled. This feisty little woman is actually quite straightforward, he thought.
"Hey, start driving! I’m the bridesmaid and can’t fall behind," Rachel Bailey urged, glaring at him when she saw he still hadn’t started the car.
Hansen Ruiz immediately pressed the accelerator, and the car moved forward. He responded, "Don’t worry, it won’t just be you falling behind; I’m the groomsman. By the way, my name isn’t ’Hey.’ My surname is Ruiz, and my given name is Hansen. You can call me Mr. Ruiz."
"I don’t remember," Rachel Bailey replied nonchalantly. She had no interest in him and therefore didn’t bother to remember his name; even if he said it ten times, she would still forget.
"Never mind. Let’s pretend I never said anything," Hansen Ruiz said, his smile growing wider. "When dealing with someone who has such a severe case of selective amnesia, I should save my breath."
He found this increasingly amusing.
