Chapter 1292: Sooner or Later You’ll Regret It
"Dad, do you really have such a prejudice against James?" Ethan was really about to get frustrated.
"If you’re going to talk to me about this matter, then we have nothing to discuss." Old Mr. Seymour really didn’t want to discuss this issue with him.
He had lost all hope in Ethan’s mind.
"Dad, I know you look down on James and think James just wants to benefit from the company. But I just want to tell you now that James’s health products are selling exceptionally well." Mentioning this, Ethan genuinely felt proud of James.
This is his son, and he’s no lesser than Charles Seymour.
Initially, if he hadn’t insisted on bringing James into the Seymour Corporation to help him, James’s achievements wouldn’t be any less than Charles’s.
"Well, selling well is good." Old Mr. Seymour nodded and then left indifferently.
Old Mr. Seymour’s indifferent attitude deeply hurt Ethan’s heart. He stared incredulously at Old Mr. Seymour’s back, gritting his teeth and muttering, "Dad, you’ll regret it sooner or later!"
Old Mr. Seymour got into the car and pressed his swelling head.
Forget it, he wouldn’t think about this anymore. Now that Sophie’s and Charles’s wedding is approaching, he must prepare well.
He sent invitations to his old friends, and only when he sees Charles married will he feel at ease.
Because there’s always someone who gets tangled up over interests, but those who don’t care about these things live freely.
"Mommy, mommy..." Baby grabbed two laughing stones in his hand and leaped into Sophie’s arms, "For mommy."
"Oh wow, this is such a beautiful moment, and you’re giving it to mommy? Thank you, Baby." Sophie gave Baby a smooch, causing Baby to giggle.
"Baby’s only giving to mommy, not to grandma?" Clarissa asked "jealously."
"Grandma, here!" Baby handed the other stone to Clarissa, "For grandma."
"Oh, is there really one for me?" Clarissa asked, surprised.
"Yes!" Baby nodded vigorously, his little dark eyes bent into crescent moons with laughter.
"Our Baby is so good." Clarissa laughed, tousling the little one’s head, "Come on, Baby, have a drink of water."
Sophie wiped Baby’s sweat before saying, "Sit down and take a break."
She drove her mom and Baby out for a picnic. The scenery here is lovely, few people are around, the air is fresh, and there’s a small river for Baby to play in.
The weather is pleasant, with just a hint of summer heat, making it the perfect time to play.
"Mommy, I want to go see the little fish." Baby tugged at Sophie’s clothes, enthusiastically looking up.
"Okay, go ahead." Sophie smiled and nodded at Baby’s forehead.
Baby cheered and ran off.
The small river is very shallow, and the key is it’s very near to where they are. Sophie chatted with Clarissa but didn’t take her eyes off Baby for even a moment.
"How’s the wedding preparation going?" Clarissa asked.
"Should be almost done." Sophie replied without a second thought.
"Is Charles preparing everything again?" Clarissa laughed.
"Yes." Sophie nodded, "He quite enjoys doing this, probably wants to surprise me again."
"He’s considerate; he values you." Clarissa nodded, seeing how much Charles cherished Sophie, she finally felt at ease.
"Of course, who else would he value but me?" Sophie boasted, causing Clarissa to gently slap her, "You’re just showing off. In a marriage, the couple’s feelings can’t be one-sided; you have to be good to Charles too, got it?"
