Chapter 42: Making Decisions
"You’re looking for me?" Grace Wilson walked into the lounge, curiously looking at the unfamiliar woman inside.
She liked dressing up, but the things she used were all inexpensive, and Grace didn’t know this kind of person at all.
"Miss Wilson." Eva thought she was quite good at dressing up, but as soon as Grace Wilson entered, she felt like an ugly duckling next to a swan, making her awkwardly at a loss.
"You are..." Grace looked at Eva in confusion. She thought carefully and had never seen this person before.
"Miss Wilson, I’m an employee from the branch office." Eva quickly said.
"Branch office? Why are you looking for me?" Grace asked in bewilderment.
"Miss Wilson, you must stand up for me!" Eva suddenly cried as if seeing a family member, startling Grace, "What’s wrong with you?"
"Miss Wilson, Sophie Wilson, she... she’s relying on being the boss’s daughter and insisting on firing me. Just because a man who pursued her became my boyfriend, she can’t stand me." Grace spoke with apprehension, but this was her last chance.
