Chapter 28 - 028: Pack Up and Leave
"Sophie, Sophie..." Lucy Wells ran into Sophie Wilson’s office, whispering anxiously, "President Palmer is back."
"Oh." Sophie Wilson nodded.
"Sophie, why aren’t you worried? Eva went over with President Palmer!" Lucy Wells was almost frantic, "She might badmouth you in front of him!"
Sophie Wilson smiled, "It’s not a ’might,’ it’s a certainty."
"Then what should we do?" Lucy Wells was getting flustered, "What if President Palmer makes things difficult for you later? Sophie, how about we buy something for Eva?"
"If you’re embarrassed to go, I’ll go for you."
Seeing Lucy Wells, almost in tears with worry, Sophie Wilson sighed lightly in her heart, "Lucy, why are you so good to me?"
"We’re friends." After saying that, Lucy Wells hurriedly asked, "What should we buy? I noticed she likes clothes and jewelry, maybe we could..."
"Sophie Wilson, President Palmer is looking for you." Eva’s arrogant voice interrupted Lucy Wells.
