Sophie Wilson acted as if she hadn’t heard him, tilting her head sleepily, seemingly not fully awake, and mumbled, "Hmm?"
The faint nasal tone, like the paw of a little kitten, fiercely scratched at Charles Seymour’s heart.
Charles’s eyes darkened, and in an instant, he stepped forward, his long fingers gripping Sophie’s exquisite and delicate chin tightly, each word he uttered was as icy as shards of ice: "Run again, and I’ll make you wish you were dead!"
