Chapter 101 - 100: Memory Episode (1)
The continuous rain outside didn’t stop, the sky was overcast, and the indoor environment was also shrouded in a layer of gray.
"You don’t eat when it’s mealtime, and now you’re hungry just two hours before dinner. I’m busy every day, and I still have to look after you to eat." Aunt Wangford was grumbling as she put the food on the table, not caring at all about the girl sitting in the seat, voicing her dissatisfaction.
Florence Fuller lowered her gaze slightly, pretending not to hear. She didn’t have an appetite at noon, couldn’t eat, but after being hungry for a while, she couldn’t bear it anymore. She came down to eat something, and the butler had Aunt Wangford prepare her some food.
Aunt Wangford, who was resting, began to express her discontent.
She wiped her hands, found no chopsticks, and was about to get them. Aunt Wangford came out with chopsticks in hand, almost reaching the table. Seeing this, Florence reached out her hand, only to have them tossed directly onto the table, producing a crisp sound as they collided with the porcelain bowl in the quiet dining room.
Aunt Wangford hadn’t expected such a loud sound from her casual toss. Her face showed a hint of unease, but thinking that Florence had no sense of presence in this house, she regained some confidence.
Florence looked at her, unblinking.
Aunt Wangford, unwilling to show weakness, said, "What are you looking at? Eat if you want; I still have to watch the sweet soup cooking for the eldest miss."
After saying this, she turned around to walk to the kitchen, but the next second, the sound of porcelain shattering exploded right at her feet.
Florence had directly smashed the bowl at her feet. Aunt Wangford didn’t react; Florence threw the chopsticks directly at her face, and the best dishes were all smashed around her.
Laura Yates and Clara Fuller, who heard the commotion in the living room, quickly came in and saw Aunt Wangford looking hostile and disheveled.
"What’s going on here!" Laura looked at Florence and then at Aunt Wangford.
