Chapter 23 - 22: The Charity Event’s Unexpected Turn
The sun hung high over the university campus, casting a warm glow on the bustling charity event. Students moved between stalls, chatting and laughing as they browsed handmade crafts, auctioned memorabilia, and donation drives.
Lin Feng walked through the crowd at an easy pace, hands in his pockets. Compared to last night’s high-stakes auction, this was a completely different atmosphere. No scheming elites or hidden agendas—just students trying to raise money for a good cause.
At one of the booths, Guo Yuwei, a well-known figure on campus, was busy managing donations. With her long, dark hair tied back in a neat ponytail and a simple white dress that made her look effortlessly elegant, she stood out even in a crowd.
"Lin Feng?" She blinked in surprise as he approached. "I didn’t expect to see you here."
He smirked. "Why? Because I don’t seem like the charitable type?"
She chuckled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "More like... you don’t seem like the type to show up at school events at all."
Fair point.
But before he could respond, a voice cut through the air.
"Hah, even this guy thinks he can act generous?"
