Chapter 24:The Lord’s Funeral
It had been a week since Roland had gone to hunt.
Back in the village, a grave atmosphere reigned. Sadness had overturned everything. The people’s lives had been improving greatly due to the new Lord alas...
Not getting any sign of Roland, some villagers wept and had already burnt incense while a few went as far as to dig mud and bury a coffin.
None of them believed he would return alive as they had experienced such events many times. Every time a monster appeared, a Lord’s life string was bound to be cut.
It was an eternal and sorrowful truth.
As per the inside contents of the coffin, there was no one after all who had such guts to go and look for the Lord’s dead body and snatch it from the monster.
And it didn’t look like any remains of him would be left.
While mourning, everyone heard a loud cry.
Soon, everyone spotted a crew with a broad tall man at the forefront walking ahead carrying a huge Saber Tooth Tiger head over his shoulder.
