Chapter 2: The God Of What?
’Uhhh’
Stench of blood and rotting meat overwhelmed his senses as pitch black darkness overtook his sight. But this darkness around him was strange. It wasn’t normal darkness because even though he didn’t have any eyes, he could see it.
He couldn’t see, move, hear or feel anything at all except for the darkness and the smell. He didn’t know the reason for the "vegetable" state he was in, but he knew this pitch black darkness was its source.
Suddenly, everything turned blinding white. This strange, eerie darkness and the stench was chased away by a white radiance that lit up everything around it.
With the darkness gone, he regained his senses.
Ian opened his eyes and weakly stood up with a groan. He then inspected his body to see whether everything was in place or not.
After making sure he wasn’t injured like the way he was crushed, he looked around to inspect his surroundings.
Everything around him was lit up by a strange white radiance.
For some reason, this comforting radiance didn’t scare him or make him anxious. Instead, it felt warm and comforting. He felt like these sensations didn’t come from his own body. Instead, it came from the radiance itself.
He didn’t know what was more dangerous. A dreadful darkness that blocked all his senses or a white radiance that made him comfortable in a strange way.
But ultimately, he declared the radiance as the lesser evil since it was keeping the harrowing darkness away from him.
