I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 80 Coffin

She walked down the hallway, humming again.

She pushed the door open with a soft click and froze.

Her eyes went wide. Her breath caught in her throat.

Right in the middle of Class D sat an enormous, glossy black coffin. Its polished lid gleamed under the morning light like something out of an old vampire movie. Boo was floating nearby, doing slow loops around it, his round ghost eyes wide with envy. The other babies were gathered in a loose circle, each one reacting in their own tiny way.

Alina stopped dead in the doorway, her folder nearly slipping from her hands. "What... is THIS?" she asked, her voice half squeak, half stern teacher tone.

Boo zipped over like a tiny gossip bee, eyes shining. "Teacher! Teacher!! Vlad Jr. brought his custom-made bed for nap time! It’s sooo cool!"

Boo sniffed a little and then thought, If Boo had Mom and Dad too, Boo would get custom bed too, he thought sadly.

Luna, who was in her tiny wolf form today, was circling the coffin like a guard dog, her wet nose sniffing the edges. Her tail flicked once in suspicion. Sable, Kelpie, and Lucian had all shuffled back a good few steps.

Rocky stood half-hidden behind his chair, his stone-like fingers tapping nervously on his desk as he watched the thing like it might bite.

Alina pressed her palm to her forehead and took a deep breath. Be calm, she told herself. Be calm — it’s just a giant baby coffin in the middle of your bright, cheerful classroom. That’s normal... apparently.

She dropped her hand and forced her voice to sound semi-normal. "Okay. Where is Vlad Jr.?"

"Teacher! He’s inside!!" Drake shouted, practically bouncing on his feet like an overexcited puppy. "He’s taking a test nap! Look, look!"
