Jessie didn’t expect Kevin to care so much about this matter. It was indeed a bit careless of her. After all, she had given him the gift as a token of her gratitude.

Looking at Jessie’s cheerful expression, Kevin couldn’t help but feel annoyed. While he was feeling frustrated, she seemed completely unbothered, even having a carefree smile on her face.

He was, in truth, suspicious if Jessie was aware that Steve liked her. But seeing her so carefree, she probably didn’t know.
She burst into laughter. "Mr. Harper, we’re just normal friends. It’s just a simple gift. Aren’t you being a bit too sensitive?"
She would have been angry before, wondering why Kevin thought of her like this. But now, she found him exceedingly endearing, even making her feel like she wanted to tease him.
"If giving it to him means I have feelings for him, then today I also gave Miss Rossi a gift. Does that mean I have a crush on Miss Rossi?"
Hearing the first part, Kevin’s expression relaxed a bit. But after hearing the latter part, he couldn’t help but frown slightly. This girl really said whatever came to her mind.
However, he quite liked her honesty. It meant that she wasn’t pretentious, always up to speak out what was on her mind.
