Chapter 63: Calling People

In the sea of fire, Chu Yi raised a shield made of Ink Fire Crystal, withstanding the attacks of various Pet Beasts. He retreated, took out eye drops from the Fairy Forest, and applied a drop to his Star Eyes, unleashing countless golden rays. Instantly, his exhausted spirit was rapidly replenished and even exceeded its limits, reaching the 13th level of the Eye of Evil Return. Originally, using it once per solar day was optimal for perfect absorption of the medicinal effect, allowing one to break through two or three levels consecutively. But now, Chu Yi had no time to care about that and unleashed a powerful attack on the group of Pet Beasts: the special move, Execution by Beheading.

BOOM—

Those present only saw a flash of substantial silver light in the sea of fire. The air became stagnant as an invisible force transformed into a Spirit Blade, fiercely striking at the consciousness of the various Pet Beasts. The Three-tailed Wood Guard Palace, Red Sand Scorpion, and Behemoth had the weakest consciousness; their thoughts shattered instantly, turning them into Chu Yi’s puppets, and they promptly unleashed special moves on their surroundings: [Forest Barrier], [Highly Poisonous Scorpion Needle], and [Destructive Death Light]. The Pet Beasts struck by the Spirit Blade also paused momentarily. This brief paralysis caused them to be hit by these three special moves, plunging them into chaos.

"Bika, go!" Chu Yi commanded.

With the combined effects of Telekinesis enhancement and the Ring of Curse, Execution by Beheading repeatedly struck the consciousness of seven War General-level Pet Beasts. This caused Chu Yi’s head to ache; his spirit was severely depleted, almost drained. Seizing the opportunity, he mounted Bika, activated [Frenzy], and fled in one direction.

In terms of strength, victory is uncertain, and there’s also the risk of exposing the Deceit Beast in front of survivors. Being protected by four Silver-level guards, Ji Wu must have cards up his sleeve. Even killing Ji Wu would invite the retaliation of an even stronger force; the cycle of killing the lesser ones only to be pursued by the greater ones would continue. The most critical point is that it wasn’t Ji Wu himself who acted, but Bishop Ian, the manipulator behind the scenes, using others as his tools, forcing me to unleash the Power of the Demon God!

Chu Yi bore it.

But the august Master of Grey Mist can’t swallow this insult.

He applied another drop from the Fairy Forest to his eyes. They seemed to consume it, emitting a slight, susurrous murmur as his Eye of Evil Return quickly elevated to level 14, his Spiritual Power fully replenished. He then took out a candle. Seemingly unremarkable, it was a rare item for summoning Gray Mist Cultists.

Soon, the candle was lit. A spiral of gray mist rose three feet, emitting a faint radiative wave that spread around.

I’ll use Asa to identify Bishop Ian and execute that betrayer of the Grey Mist with the Ghost Hand’s last Ghost Slash. Then, I’ll consume the remaining value of the Master of Grey Mist to achieve the second stage of evolution. The evolution points are completely sufficient. Plan approved.

"What?"
