Chapter 1036: Excitement
The next day, Jiang Xinyu also got up late. If it weren’t for the child Shi Xian pushing her, she wouldn’t have woken up.
She hurriedly picked up Shi Xian to let him pee, followed by Tingting.
When she came back with her daughter in her arms, she saw Shi Xian lying on his dad’s chest.

Shi Jing and the other three, hearing their dad’s voice, couldn’t continue their exercise and rushed into the room.
When Shi Xian saw his brothers and sisters charging in, he got even more excited.
Wei Kaiyun waved to Feifei and the others, and the three older ones immediately climbed onto the kang bed.
Jiang Xinyu didn’t mind them and continued dressing Tingting.
Once the little girl was dressed, she also climbed to the side of Wei Kaiyun’s leg, looking up at her dad with eyes bent in a smile.
"Dad, last night I heard a sound and thought I was hallucinating, dreaming, but it turns out Dad really came back."
Wei Kaiyun looked at the children surrounding him and felt that he could give up the whole world for them.
Jiang Xinyu went out to help make breakfast, not minding the father and sons.
The three older kids snuggled for a while before going out for exercise, a habit they had maintained for years, even doing martial arts indoors when it rained.

The three kids didn’t focus on these but were most thrilled with the notebooks and comic books that were brought back.
"Feifei, there are notebooks for the older brothers, sisters, and your Brother Chaoyang."
"Dad, I’ll just give it to Brother Guodong and let him deliver it to Sister-in-law," Feifei said, covering her mouth with a giggle.
Jianbin also smirked with lips pressed, feeling a bit awkward from losing a front tooth the day before yesterday.
Guodong didn’t mind his sister teasing him; he just laughed and scratched his head.
For making clothes for the children, Zhao Xiaoli received a bolt of fine cotton fabric. Though it was ginger-colored, the fine texture was perfect for making summer clothes for the kids.
Feifei couldn’t quite take to the flowery fabric given by her father but appreciated the thought behind it.
The remaining blue fabrics for the women and green cotton for the boys were put in Zhang Qiu’e’s room, ready to make the children’s summer clothes.
Once the goods were distributed, Old Yang and Wei Kaiyun discussed the pesticide factory, and Guodong took items for his wife and Chaoyang to Li Yungui’s house.
He happened to meet Li Yungui returning from the fields.
"Second Uncle."
"Guodong, what’s this?"
"Oh, Uncle Wei came back last night. These are for Xue’er and Chaoyang."
"Come inside," Li Yungui said, turning back to the Wei family.
Little Wei had finally returned. He was truly worried; many things felt uncertain without Wei Kaiyun. Even Old Yang couldn’t compare in this regard.
Guodong carried the items into the yard, and Qu Xiaoli came out after hearing voices outside.
"Guodong, you’re here? Come in quickly, Xue’er is reading."
Li Xue also came out from the house, smiling at Guodong. The young couple, just a step away from marriage, looked well-paired together.
Their engagement wasn’t hidden, and many in the village thought they were a good and fitting match.
Of course, many girls were heartbroken; after all, Guodong was indeed handsome, and it was normal for girls to like him.

Then she invited the young couple inside.

They informed Qu Xiaoli before going, not holding hands but walking side by side, feeling close.
Li Yungui hurried to the Wei family. He wiped the mud off his shoes in the courtyard, knowing people cleaned the concrete floor there.
"Village Chief Li, no need for that, come on in."
Li Yungui felt embarrassed. "Xiao Jiang, is Little Wei home?"
"He is, still hasn’t recovered from the journey."
As they were speaking, Wei Kaiyun and Old Yang came out.
"Little Wei is finally back."
Old Yang laughed heartily hearing Li Yungui’s words. "Village Chief Li, you seem more anxious about Little Wei than Xiao Jiang does."
"How could I not be anxious? I’ve been hoping every day for Little Wei to return soon."
All three went into the main room. Li Yungui indeed had much to discuss with Wei Kaiyun, not knowing where to start.
"Village Chief Li, Little Wei said that once the weather’s clear and the roads are good, he’ll deliver goods to the Provincial Capital. Fortunately, we have this rain, giving us time to prepare."
"No need to rush. Let Chaoyang deliver the goods to the Provincial Capital when he returns," Wei Kaiyun said with a smile. He certainly wouldn’t want to travel again, feeling irreplaceable at home.
