Chapter 662 - 105. Elizabeth’s Wrath (Two in One)_3
Mr. Fisher locked eyes with Curion the moment he entered the room, pausing for a mere second on the latter’s eyes before he moved over to Valentina. He suddenly and rather presumptuously placed his hand on Valentina’s shoulder, causing her to blush slightly and shoot him a glare. However, all she received in return was the serious demeanor of Mr. Fisher, leaving Valentina at a loss for his intentions and thus, she unexpectedly didn’t voice any objection.
"If I said I’m really happy staying in the Northern Realm and have no desire to return to Saint Nali, then what?"
The next moment, Mr. Fisher turned to Valentina with a slight smile, not even hinting at removing his hand from her shoulder, but instead he turned his head to look at Curion—or rather, straight into his eyes.
"Bang!"
The following moment, an extremely harsh sound suddenly rang by Curion’s ears, causing him to clench his teeth and slightly tilt his head.
That was because thousands of miles away in the Golden Palace, Elizabeth had suddenly knocked all the books and reports off the table, spilling the expensive ceramic decorations and teacups on it. Under the fury of Elizabeth, everything was flipped to the floor and shattered.
The grating sound of breaking ceramics continuously reached Curion’s ears along with Elizabeth’s raging voice, exploding next to him and forcing him to squint his eyes, unable to bear it.
"Fisher! How dare you! Who is that woman?! I’ll kill her! Have her killed!"
Inside the Golden Palace, Elizabeth violently threw the books from the table, frightening the maids trembling and kneeling, bowing their heads to the ground, fearing to anger the Empress in her furious state.
In Elizabeth’s golden eyes, the fingers that Fisher laid on the beautiful girl were glaringly painful to behold, as were the girl’s slightly flushed cheeks and almost reproachful gaze, which felt like a knife stabbing straight into Elizabeth’s heart. Watching that illusory scene, it was as if blood was continuously flowing from her chest.
"A cripple... you even fancy a cripple confined to a wheelchair! Why?! Have her killed!"
Elizabeth suddenly conjured a golden treasure sword in her hands and with one fierce swing at the magical image before her, she split her thick wooden desk in two. The raging golden flames spread across the floor, causing the maids on both sides of the corridor to scream, their cries almost bursting Curion’s eardrums all the way in the Northern Realm.
"Your Majesty, please calm down..."
Curion, at a loss, could only try to advise her. Although Valentina didn’t understand Nali Language, it was clear that the other party was still conversing with someone unseen, indicating that the previous words were a premeditated trap. This made Valentina instantly discard any thoughts that the individual before her would clear Fisher’s name.
Her expression turned slightly cold as she turned and commanded Heidlin behind her,
"It seems our guest from Nali is not feeling well. Please have the Nali Sect send someone healthy and clear-headed over to talk with us... But I must remind everyone that the Turand Family’s stance won’t change. Fisher Benavides is my man, and I will not hand him over to you. To arrest him would be to interfere with the Turand Family, and I hope you will consider carefully the consequences of opposing the Turand Family before you make your decision... Heidlin, see them out."
"Yes, please leave."
The black-robed Heidlin approached Curion with a beaming smile, gesturing towards the door. Curion, with a splitting headache, glanced at Heidlin, looked at his colleagues reaching into his coat pockets, and finally turned his gaze back to Fisher still standing in the room. Then, after hesitating for a moment, he shook his head slightly at his colleagues.
The movements of the other Nali people stalled instantly, and seizing the moment, Curion stood up and looked at Fisher, who still held his hand on Valentina’s shoulder. With a hint of unwillingness, he said,
"In that case, Miss Turand, please remember your choice today. We’re leaving."
The Nali people, each taking their belongings, left the room one after another, leaving only Fisher behind, deep in thought.
"Mr. Fisher, soft, is she?"
"Eh, what soft?"
Coming back to his senses, Fisher looked up only to see Heidlin looking at him with a mischievous smile, prompting his confused inquiry. But the next second, he realized what she meant, turning his head to see Valentina still caught by his hand on her shoulder, her forehead veins bulging before she suddenly raised her hand to punch him. However, her light punch hardly hurt him at all, like a tap without any force behind it.
"Will you let go already?!"
"Ah..."
Fisher was struck, yet he staggered back several steps as if hit by a cannonball. He immediately rubbed the spot where Valentina had hit him and laughingly explained to Heidlin,
"I’m truly sorry, it was an emergency, and I had to resort to this. The blame falls on Miss Valentina for being deceived by them; I had no desire to come out otherwise."
"Hah, I should have handed you over to let you roll back to Nali. But I still don’t understand why you suddenly touched my shoulder. I thought you, you beast, had suddenly come into heat and were up to something indecent."
