Chapter 134 - 51. Whale-man Species
Fisher ran fast, the figure who had climbed over the wall didn’t realize that someone was rapidly approaching from the dark wilderness behind him until he was about to climb down. Only then did he suddenly become aware of something swiftly closing in.
Turning his head, he saw a gentleman with a hand cane sprinting towards him from the darkness, the speed surpassing that of any human, quickly reaching the edge of the wall. This terrified him so much that he jumped straight off the wall.
Fisher didn’t hold back either, following his lead to leap onto the wall, and upon mounting it, he saw that the figure was frantically running toward the inside of the school.
No, this won’t do. Not knowing what this guy might be, if he gets to the student dorms it would be bad. What if he hurts the students?
So, without hesitation, Fisher gripped the hand cane backwards, hurling it like a spear towards the figure. The figure seemed to react the instant the hand cane flew out, quickly dodging and watching it embed into the ground before him like an arrow.
"Uh..."
A faint moan came from the figure, seemingly in a state of panic. Seeing his path blocked by the hand cane, he turned and ran in another direction.
Many students were still out on the night of Saint Nali University, but most gathered at the library and lecture halls in the center of the school, or the dormitories far away. Here, however, towards the direction of the faculty offices and the gymnasium, it was deserted late at night, and not even the security guards had patrolled here yet.
Watching as he turned toward another direction—the gymnasium opposite the faculty offices—Fisher quickly followed suit. Disregarding the cane embedded in the ground, he continued his relentless chase behind the figure.
The figure’s running pace was oddly fast, but their running stance was strange, appearing comically hopping and bouncing in the darkness. Now closer, Fisher could make out a large tail dangling beside the legs of the cloak-covered shadow ahead.
