Chapter 94 - 20. Witch Research Association
In the following days, Fisher found himself with ample free time. He had managed everything pertaining to his return to Nali with impeccable organization. Now, all he needed to do was wait for results to come in while also preparing for an upcoming lecture at the Royal College and a course at Saint Nali University. After all, Nali’s autumn term was about to begin.
On the following Monday, a week after Fisher discussed with Damian, the latest issue of Nali Journal published Fisher’s "Theory and Proof of the Source of Magic Power," an article co-authored with Helson. As soon as it appeared, it detonated like a bomb within the Nali scholastic community, instantly stirring up the long-silent circles.
Researchers at the Royal College were the first to catch wind of this news. Fearing Principal Damien’s anger at Fisher’s new achievements, they didn’t even dare to visit the Pink Hall, instead choosing to weather the storm until Fisher’s limelight had passed.
They hoped the situation would improve with the start of the autumn term, unaware that at the opening ceremony, the devilish Fisher would have another gift in store for them.
Fisher’s rented house was almost inundated with various types of letters. Some were congratulatory messages from academic institutions and private individuals; others were for academic debates, with some scholars expressing confusion about certain parts of the paper and hoping for Fisher’s clarification; and there were also invitations from numerous Magic Items enterprises in Nali, looking to explore the commercial prospects of soul-oriented magic in the future.
It had to be admitted, those folks had a keen nose for money.
Initially, Fisher intended to read the correspondence, but as the volume grew overwhelming, he had no choice but to stack them aside for later. After all, not all letters required his attention.
"Fisher!"
