Chapter 82: Listing Thoughts
Hello, everyone. I am Yiwei Crab.
Now it’s time for another book to go live, and as usual, it’s time to share some thoughts.
Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the readers and my editor, the great Juzi, for your support of this book.
The rest of my thoughts are divided into two parts: one is about the plot of this book, and the other is about updates after the launch.
Regarding the plot, when I first started writing this book, I actually thought that such a niche subject probably wouldn’t attract many readers. It was more about writing something I myself would enjoy, which is quite different from my previous works. Fisher was originally designed to be a female professor. I wanted to write yuri, but after some thought, I found it too strange and gave up the idea.
In terms of the story, the pace has slowed down a bit in this volume, but every scene is meaningful, there’s no fluff, and these small details and foreshadowing, I hope, will be interesting for everyone. Next, after Renie leaves, the entire city of Saint Nali will become the stage for the Son of the Sea, who is the female lead. I will spare no effort in depicting her image, including the many interesting ocean demi-human settings I’ve devised for her background.
Then, there’s the issue of the supporting female characters. Of course, I won’t write toxic plot points, "send-to-death" kind. The question is only their screen time and endings, which really depends on their popularity—I’ve written too much. However, these characters appearing in the cast list means there will be a lot of plots related to them later on, and their character images will also gradually flesh out, including people like Elizabeth, Isabella, and Alagina.
Lastly, the underlying theme of this book is "A Paper of Guilt," and those Doomsday figures will inevitably reappear. The only difference is how Fisher will intervene in what they ultimately become. This question will be answered when Rafael makes his reappearance. Moreover, the world view of this universe is vast, and there are still many hidden things not yet revealed, which will be slowly developed later.
