Chapter 35: Door Cats
July 6th, 3:00 am.
At a coffee shop in the middle of South Belande.
Shen Yi made another cup of fragrant hand-brewed coffee in the café.
He had a strong sense of foreboding and didn’t fall asleep all night, but he didn’t think of away.
He was still not proactive enough, and his excessive caution led to not knowing enough information.
He regretted not being able to follow the trail and track down Aina to come up with the location of the Chaos Remnant Order’s stronghold, if he knew where they were he could have explored it.
Now, the Order may have had an accident, but apart from sitting here and waiting he couldn’t do anything.
Needless to say, he won’t pit those cultists for dying. Shen Yi had no qualms about using the wicked, and he will never sympathize with them, but there were also innocent people like Aina in the cult.
He took another sip of coffee in anxiety. Well, it’s not a good habit to consume too much of coffee, but at least it keeps you away from cigarettes and alcohol.
