Chapter 18: Dreamwalking
5 o’clock in the afternoon.
The rain was still pouring outside the cafe. Shen Yi sat on a window chair and soft rain sound filled his ears.
While looking outside, he played with a pure black fountain pen by slowly spinning it with his right hand.
“Tonight there will be rainstorms in Beland, which will last for a longer time, and the amount of precipitation is high. Citizens are requested to take safety precautions and avoid going out as much as possible.”
The faint voice of the weather reporter came from the small television in the back room.
His action stopped mid-way, and he put the pen down on the table.
“Pop.”
The water was slowly rising on the road, and if it continued to rain for a few days, the cafe would flood.
“I don’t think there will be any more visitors today.”
