"That doesn’t sound right." Chief Hong was not easily fooled. "I distinctly heard you asking Su Xiaofeng for a favor earlier. I remember now, you mentioned a shopping mall; you wanted Su Xiaofeng to acknowledge that a mall registered in her name was a gift from the Wu Family. That did happen, didn’t it?"

"Then it’s better to come clean for leniency." Chief Hong suddenly became stern. "If you confess, you might be treated more leniently."
"Chief Hong, I merely had those two men take Su Peng to the city and keep him confined until Xiaofeng agreed to restore our mother-daughter relationship. Then they were to release him. I never expected Su Peng to have a car accident, especially such a serious one. I never asked them to harm him; I even told them to take good care of him. He’s a fool; I felt pity for him looking at him—how could I possibly want someone to hurt him?"
Luo Yuzhu too was eager to find out who exactly had hit Su Peng.
