Both of the Chunin from Asuma's squad were dead, and at least ten of the guards from the Land of Demons who were protecting Shion had perished. The rest were mostly injured.
In comparison, Sasuke and the others were relatively fortunate.
Neji had a minor injury on his arm, Sasuke had taken a heavy blow to his chest, leaving a large bruise.
