Chapter 254: Aether Trouble
Just as Dave was about to lie back again and fully relax, the sky above them suddenly cracked open with a burst of rainbow-colored energy — the unmistakable flash of the Bifrost.
BOOM!
A tremendous gust of wind blew across the hilltop as a massive, golden figure dropped into the middle of their picnic, sending plates and snacks flying.
"By the All-Father's beard, Dave!" Thor's booming voice echoed across the field.
Everyone stared in shock as Thor, clad in slightly battered Asgardian armor, his cape torn and his usually immaculate hair in wild disarray, marched up to Dave with an urgent, frantic look on his face.
"Thor?" Dave blinked, getting to his feet while dusting crumbs off himself. "Man, you just ruined the best picnic I've had in years."
"No time for your mortal leisure!" Thor said, panting heavily as he grabbed Dave's shoulders. "I need you — desperately. My Girlfriend is in Danger!"
Diana, Boa, Trish, and Emma immediately looked at him wondering when this guy got an girlfriend.
"Girlfriend?" Dave asked, eyes narrowing. "Since when? No no, more importantly what happened to her?"
Thor extended his hand desperately. "Come with me, Dave. She is in Asgard and she needs your magic!"
For a brief moment, Dave hesitated, glancing back at his girlfriends, at the quiet picnic they had tried so hard to enjoy. Boa gave him a small nod. Diana smiled softly, her eyes full of understanding.
