Chapter 138: Avengers III
He leaned back in his chair, thinking carefully. "She's powerful enough to defeat him, so how...?"
Dave's mind began to piece together fragments of information. Loki, the God of Mischief, as an Asgardian, always been formidable, but he wasn't this strong. Natasha could have easily defeated him given her current powers.
As he watched Loki in action, a realization slowly dawned on him. Loki had clearly been working harder, sharpening his skills. "He's achieved quite a high level of power," Dave muttered under his breath, observing the way Loki wielded his abilities with finesse and precision.
"Wow, it seems I definitely wounded his pride," Dave chuckled as he looked at Loki's display of power in the footage. Shutting the laptop, he leaned back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips. "But I wonder what you'll do after losing to me again?"
He glanced over at his girlfriends, who were lounging on the couch and watching TV.
"You guys better be ready. Remember, we're heading to SHIELD tomorrow," he announced, stretching casually.
"What's SHIELD?" Hancock asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Think of them as the Marines here," Dave replied with a sly grin.
Hancock scowled. "So, a useless bunch?"
Hearing her response, Dave chuckled, nodding. "Yep, pretty much useless."
She gave him a skeptical look but didn't press further. "So why are we bothering with them?" she asked, her tone sharp.
