Chapter 133: Hydra
While Fury and the others were discussing, what they didn't know was that someone was eavesdropping on them. At the SHIELD headquarters, Alexander Pierce sat in his chair, listening intently to their discussion through a secure channel.
After a moment, when the conversation ended, he closed his laptop and turned his attention to a tablet that displayed the file on Dave Garcia.
"Dave Garcia, huh," he murmured, leaning back in his chair as he studied the profile.
"I wonder what your secrets are," Pierce mused, his gaze fixed on the screen. The file described Dave Garcia as the son of seemingly ordinary humans, yet his actions hinted at a power capable of shaking the entire Earth—even enough to shake the alien forces.
Pierce's expression hardened as he whispered to himself, "No one rises this high without leaving something behind. And I will find it."
"And when I find it, it will be mine," Pierce muttered, his tone cold and calculated as he sifted through the complete files on his tablet.
"The change occurred around the time he met this girl... Trish," he murmured, pausing on her profile. "The one who mysteriously went missing after the Titanic submerged." He narrowed his eyes at her image on the screen. "You're the key behind his power, aren't you?" he speculated, his mind working quickly to piece together the puzzle.
A sinister smile crept onto his face as he discreetly issued an encrypted order to Hydra operatives. "Bring her in—alive. She might prove... invaluable," Pierce commanded, his voice devoid of empathy.
He leaned back, his gaze shifting to the group of files labeled "Winter Soldiers."
