Chapter 118: Asgard
As they arrived in Asgard, the group saw Heimdall kneeling before them. Thor rushed to him as Heimdall said, "Go, his Majesty is in danger."
Thor nodded and turned to look at Dave and the others. "Please feel free to explore while I take care of this," he said before flying toward the grand castle. As he did, Volstagg emerged from the Bifrost, the portal vanishing behind him.
"This is Asgard," Volstagg said, his voice echoing through the massive, golden kingdom.
"It's... beautiful," Dave remarked, as Diana added, "It's incredible."
Black widow also looked around in awe while she also secretly recorded all of it, knowing Fury would want this intel.
While Thor rushed to the castle, the scene shifted to a more troubling one. There, Thor's mother-Frigga was seen defending the sleeping Odin against the Frost Giants who were brought here by Loki, but Laufrey, the King of the Frost Giants, suddenly smacked her aside. Other Frost Giants rushed in and holds her down.
Laufrey, on the other hand, walked up to the sleeping Odin. Looking down at him, he murmured, "The All-Father is all-seeing," as ice daggers began to form in his hands.
"I hope it's true," he said, lifting the dagger, pointing it at Odin. "Because I want you to know that you're both going to be killed by me—Laufrey, King of the Frost Giants."
But just as he was about to strike, there was a clang!
Loki, appearing in the doorway, blasted a powerful laser from his hand that sent Laufrey flying. "And you will be killed by me," Loki declared, sending another blast at still disoriented Laufrey killing him on the spot.
Then he also killed the two Frost giants guard holding his mother too, Frigga seeing this stood up as she hugged Loki "thankfully you are here" she said as Loki hugged her back.
