Chapter 107: Kamar-Taj II
Finally, they arrived at the unassuming gateway to Kamar-Taj. Dave stepped out first and extended a hand to Hancock. She hesitated for a moment, looking at the seemingly ordinary entrance before taking his hand.
"This is it?" she asked skeptically.
Dave smirked. "Don't judge a book by its cover."
As they entered, a hooded figure stepped forward to greet them.
"Welcome to Kamar-Taj," the figure said, bowing slightly.
Dave returned the gesture. "I'm here to learn. The Ancient One invited me."
The figure nodded and gestured for them to follow. Hancock stayed close to Dave, her posture tense as she walked.
It's all his fault, she thought as her lower region ached with every step.
As they walked through the halls, the ambient energy of the place became palpable. Hancock paused, looking around as if she could sense the power radiating from the walls.
"This place... it's alive," she whispered.
"Not alive, but full of magic, making it seem like it," a familiar voice corrected.
