The Double

Jiang Li was startled, her note had been sent to the Ye Family only an hour ago, and she had thought that they wouldn’t be coming today, but unexpectedly, Ye Mingyu had arrived so quickly. It seemed that upon receiving her note, they had almost immediately hurried over.

After her initial surprise, Jiang Li couldn’t help but laugh. Jiang Li opened the door and saw Ye Mingyu and Ye Shijie approaching from outside the courtyard; to her surprise, Hai Tang and Xue Huaiyuan had also come.

Upon seeing Jiang Li, Ye Mingyu waved from a distance, calling out, "Ah Li! Hey, Ah Li!"

Jiang Li responded with a smile, "Uncle."

Once inside the room, which was originally spacious, it quickly filled with people. Bai Xue served the hot tea, and Ye Mingyu, without any reservation, downed a cup before taking a breath and saying, "Ah Li, we got your note and came straight here."

"It should have been me visiting you at the Ye Residence," Jiang Li smiled and said, "It’s just that Father feels it’s not peaceful in Yanjing City right now and asked me not to go out, so I could only send you a note."

"Your father doesn’t handle other matters well, but he did the right thing this time," Ye Mingyu finally agreed with Jiang Yuanbai once, adding, "Don’t leave the Residence these days.
