Chapter 75: B000 lecture On Dungeons And Contracts
When Oliver opened his eyes, he was met with the obviously angry face of the Skull, enlarged before him.
><"You stupid... stupid boy. Did I not warn you not to attempt the next Night Trial? Oh heavens... why are you just so stupid? All I did was look the other way for a bit—of course, I was distracted by boobies, but that is beside the point. YOU did it. You actually went and did it."
As it ranted, Oliver slowly stood to his feet. His head felt like he had rammed it straight into a boulder. Yet, it rang like a bell. Even just rising up was a chore.
However, he managed to do it, albeit with much difficulty.
He sat upright. "Huuuh... please can you tone it down with the nagging? It's not like I died or something."
> "Died! Did you just say die? What is the difference between your current state and dying? You fool! To think that you would actually attempt a Night Trial on Identity even before you were ready."
It rushed forward and slammed into Oliver's head.
Ouch!
"Hey! What was that for?" Even though Oliver said this, he too was secretly worried about his condition. What happened to him within the Night Trial was something he had never experienced before. The fact that he could see and talk felt like a miracle—and a privilege that he had been taking for granted since the day of his birth.
Just the memory of that place—no—the feeling of it, sent shivers down his spine. It was nothing like the first Night Trial, and gave him a similar feeling to that time he had not slept early and suffered his family members eating his body.
He tried to compose his still-racing heart as he patted down his body for either a missing limb or the like. It would seem he was kicked out from the Night Trial as a result of the time limit. Thank heavens it did when it did.
