Haruki smiled, stepping closer and wrapping his arms gently around her waist from behind. He leaned in and kissed her cheek, his lips soft against her skin.
"Don’t worry too much about it. I can eat it."
"No..." she pouted slightly. "I’ll cook it again. It’s not right. I wanted to make it special for you."
He chuckled, resting his chin lightly on her shoulder.
"No need. I’ll eat it. Burnt or not."
Kyouko turned her head to glance at him, her brow slightly raised.
"Are you sure?"
"Mm. I’ll eat."
Before she could say anything else, Haruki leaned forward and kissed her lips.
And she melted into it—returning the kiss slowly, gently.
