"Don’t blame me," Kyouko said calmly, slipping into the car seat. "If I spend it on something expensive."
Haruki smiled as he placed the bags in the back.
"I don’t mind," he said softly, sliding into the driver’s seat beside her. "Besides... you are more expensive to me."
Kyouko’s cheeks warmed, though she kept her expression composed.
"Haruki..."
He looked at her, playful—hopeful.
"So... about sleeping over?"
Kyouko’s lips curled into a small smile, but her eyes stayed gentle.
"No~" she said softly. "I can’t. Sorry. Not today."
Haruki nodded slowly, gaze still resting on her.
He didn’t push.
