Haruki came downstairs slowly, a travel bag slung over his shoulder.

His shirt was neat, his expression calm—too calm.

"Haruki? Breakfast?" Satomi asked, glancing up from her tablet.

"Oh... okay."

He nodded casually, keeping his tone even.

Satoshi was already seated at the table, eyes on his phone, barely acknowledging him.

"Mom, breakfast for Haruki." Satomi called out.

From the kitchen, Kyouko’s voice answered, soft and composed.

"Umm... okay."

She stepped into view a moment later, wearing her apron, her hair neatly tied.

Her eyes briefly met Haruki’s.
