Dr Blessed - In MHA With Lord Of Mysteries System

Chapter 339 339: Vestiges' Gratitude!

Luke walked out of the sliced space and stepped into Midoriya's bedroom.

The boy had grown strong… much stronger than he had anticipated Deku to be by this time. If he wasn't deciphering it wrong, then One For All's Full Cowl must be nearing the 20% mark. Then, Deku would be able to contact all Vestiges on his own, and his growth would experience another explosive spike.

Of course, this Deku was nothing compared to the Deku from his previous life, Luke believed.

The Deku in his previous life had won the Final War by now, defeating All For One.

For a moment, it felt… wrong. It felt like the Deku of this world wasn't getting stronger at all. But that thought would have been a great mistake.

First, Luke remembered reading the data that the Blue Site had obtained regarding One For All after the Final War. It was said that Izuku Midoriya had only awakened around 40% of One For All, thereby filling the massive gap between him and All For One with the help of Vestiges' Quirks. Which meant that Deku had never reached his full potential, losing the Quirk only a year after starting his Hero journey at UA.

Second, even though Deku's growth in this world was slow, it was more… solid.

Midoriya wasn't fast-forwarding his way to unlock One For All's more power at the cost of his body anymore. Every rise in Full Cowl's percentage was becoming a part of him, with his body adapting to it without facing any backlash. Which meant, theoretically, this Deku was able to continue using One For All much longer than the Deku of his previous life.

Luke felt neither joy nor apprehension coming to that conclusion.

Deku might stand against him one day, or he might not.

There was one thing Luke was sure about, though.

For now, the boy was his only medium to get answers to questions that he couldn't get from anywhere else.

That's why Luke had immediately taken a liking to the Mental Terror Candle, to begin with.

The Vestiges were as much parasitic Spirit Particles of One For All's previous users as they were fragments of their psyche. Nothing else explained their insanely clear cognitive abilities and communication skills, despite all of them being already dead.

Through the Mental Terror Candle, Luke could, theoretically, dive deeper into Deku's mind, bypass the Vestiges, and unearth all the secrets they held without ever needing to request the same or enter into any deal.

The same was true with Shigaraki, Stain, and All For One as well.

However, with Mental Terror Candle, there would always remain a threat of Conformity and Singularity finding him, who primarily dwelt in the Mind World, as Miss Justice had described to him.

Till now, Singularity had not acted directly against him or the Apostles of Mr. Fool as a whole. However, Luke preferred an enemy like Conformity, with clear hatred toward him, over Singularity's uncanny silence and mystery. There had always been something about the Singularity that unnerved Luke every time he thought about it.

If Conformity considered him a Sinner for becoming Mr. Fool's blessed, then why did Singularity tolerate the same?

If Conformity was willing to abandon everything just to kill Dr. Blessed, enough to rile up a possessed All For One in the heat of battle, then why didn't Singularity use the Radiants to do the same?

Also, Luke had a very wild instinct that Singularity knew of Dr. Blessed's real identity.

If that was true, then why hadn't She shared the same with Conformity, and why hadn't She done anything about it?

One casual remark, or cue, from Singularity in any Quirk user's mind regarding Dr. Blessed and Luke being the same person could sow the seeds of doubts, ruining everything.

Then… why hadn't She?

Luke and Nyx activated Spirit Vision, signaling their intention to visit the Vestiges.

In their vision, Deku's entire body lit up, becoming a sea of golden drops of water. Multicolored lights were revolving around the boy's heart like a scene from the cosmos. Every time those multicolored lights struck the golden particles, they sent a current coursing through the boy's body, stabilizing his Spirituality.

In the very next moment, Luke and Nyx found themselves falling into a sea of blackness.

Soon, they landed on a platform levitating in a sea of chaos, black-purple gusts of wind rushing past it, whooshing loudly.

But Luke had no time to observe the surroundings.

Because what he saw in front of him caught his undivided attention instantly.

In a semicircle, on eight high-back chairs, there were eight figures seated, eyeing him back.

Three of those eight figures were more solid than the rest, the others being a touch blurry. Still, all was clear enough for Luke to know that they had materialized enough to sense what was happening around them.

No wonder Deku had managed to resist All For One's forceful teleportation, Luke thought.

"Every time you come here…" Yoichi Shigaraki said, seated in the middle. "… you feel different."

It had only been weeks since Luke had visited Yoichi, before the Training Camp. However, much had happened since then…

Luke looked at the first Radiant of Singularity and nodded.

"Oh?" Nana Shimura raised her eyebrows. "The boy's gaining manners… Haha!"

Luke looked toward her and found Nyx already pressing her entire face between her breasts.

"So, the boy was trying to save you when he manifested my awesome Quirk, huh?!" Daigoro Banjo, the fifth user of One For All, said, laughing. "Well, I must properly thank you for it, but, before that…"

All the Vestiges slowly stood up, making Luke narrow his eyes.

Then, to his utter surprise, they all… bowed.

"Thank you for helping All Might against All For One," Nana Shimura said, tears welling up in her eyes as she smiled. "Thank you… for saving his life."

Luke blushed.

Suddenly, he realized that he hadn't said one word after coming here. His Spirit Points were already lacking; he couldn't stay at this for long. He didn't want to waste them on formalities.

"I… didn't do it for All Might," Luke said, shaking his head with a deep breath. "I did it for me."

The smile on Nana Shimura's face widened.

The rest of the Vestiges shared a glance and nodded as well.

"It takes a lot of courage not to accept credit when you can benefit from it," Yoichi said, stepping forward. "Still, gratitude must be repaid whenever and wherever it's due… And, so, we have decided to share the truth with you."

"The truth?" Luke frowned.

The Radiant of Hope nodded. "The truth… regarding Conformity and Singularity."
