Revenge: A Path of Destruction

Chapter 107: Final Clash (4)

The moment Khepri leapt from the shoulder of the archer-giant, the very air seemed to shift.

Khepri moved like a streak of brownish light—not fast in the way Alex was fast, but with a gravitational inevitability, like a planet aligning its orbit. He ran effortlessly along the body of the archer-giant, whose massive limbs shifted beneath him without shaking his balance. The law of life-force drain that clung to their stone skin meant nothing to him. He was their creator. The sculptor. The law-bearer. Their essence recognized him as the origin.

And now, he was their sword.

From within the storage space, he drew his weapon at last—his massive double-headed Khopesh.

Mana erupted around him, dancing like golden fireflies before coalescing into something far more structured. Runes etched into the air followed in his wake, forming sigils of protection, tracking, and binding. The terrain obeyed his presence, rising or splitting with every step he took.

Below, Alex was already mid-air—his cloak shredded in several places, blood on his shoulder and thigh from a previous near-miss, but his expression remained calm. Focused. His body glowed with barely restrained lightning. With a downward thrust of his foot, he created a small thunder platform beneath him and launched forward, his blade sparking to life with concentrated killing intent.

He twisted mid-air, a golden arc flashing forward—aimed straight for the shield giant’s chest, toward the core he had nearly exposed.

But before his blade could connect—

Clang!

Khepri appeared in front of the core, the shaft of his Khopesh intercepting Alex’s attack with a resounding clash that shattered the surrounding air like glass. The force of the impact knocked both combatants back—Alex flipping and rebounding on a bolt of thunder, Khepri sliding back effortlessly along the curved surface of the shield giant’s shoulder.

Then he was on the greatsword wielder, a blur of motion as he ran up the spine of the colossal warrior. Alex surged toward the giant again, but Khepri jumped sideways, catching a strike that would’ve pierced the greatsword giant’s core from beneath. This time, he didn’t just block—he retaliated.
