Revenge: A Path of Destruction

Chapter 28: The Beast Tide (3)

The battlefield was chaos incarnate. The air crackled with elemental fury, the sky a blazing canvas of clashing energies, and the ground trembled beneath the relentless onslaught of beasts. Warriors and creatures alike tore into each other without mercy, and the earth ran slick with blood.

Then, the air itself seemed to shudder.

A heavy, undeniable shift in presence descended upon the battlefield like an unspoken command. Time seemed to slow as a few figures emerged from the depths of the fortress, their auras pressing down like the weight of mountains. For a fleeting moment, even the beasts hesitated, their primal instincts screaming at them to flee.

The Earth Clan’s elites had arrived.

Unlike the desperate, bloodied soldiers struggling to hold the line, these warriors walked with unshakable poise, their mere presence altering the flow of battle. They were not just men and women—they were living extensions of the earth’s indomitable will, the chosen of a higher God. And now, they made their power known.

A Grandmaster, clad in obsidian armor veined with molten gold, stepped forward. The moment his foot touched the ground, the battlefield answered. The land roared as stone spires erupted in a devastating wave, impaling entire legions of King and Queen-ranked beasts. Crushed bodies fell like shattered statues, yet more beasts surged forward undeterred.

Beside him, a woman with eyes like molten gold raised her arm. Instantly, the heavens obeyed. Colossal boulders, infused with energy, wrenched free from the earth and hovered in the air like judgment incarnate. With a flick of her wrist, they rained down, each impact shaking the battlefield like an earthquake. Entire sections of the beast horde were obliterated—an Emperor-ranked monstrosity flattened instantly, alongside countless lesser creatures. Yet even this devastation barely made a dent in the endless tide.

Elsewhere, warriors wielding the blood of lesser gods continued their battle as they fought for their lives against the beast tide, their power formidable but outmatched by the true elites. A Master from a lesser Earth Clan drove his fists into the ground, sending jagged spikes ripping through the body of a King-ranked beast. But beside him, a true Earth Clan Master—his lineage tied directly to a Higher God—merely took a step, and the land beneath an entire platoon of beasts caved in, swallowing them into an abyss from which none would return.

And still, it was not enough.
