Chapter 61: Brief Interaction

Ian and Natasha went straight to the Adventurers’ guild under Jaje’s lead. Ian plans to register as an Adventurer for a few reasons. First, he could use it as an alternate identity if he wants to perform some high-ranking mission personally. Second, as a traverser, who didn’t dream of becoming an adventurer?

The second reason was actually the most important. It was just his whim. Just like that, they reached the Adventurer’s guild in no time. Ian stood with Jake and Natasha in front of a twenty-meter-high, fifteen-meter-wide building.

"Is this the Adventurer’s guild branch in this city?"

As the king of the Blood Empire, Ian had to admit that he wasn’t fully familiar with the place that he governed. He hasn’t memorized all the cities under his empire, which was quite shameful. Fortunately, he still had heard of Barakus City because it was among the few well-known cities. He had heard about it quite a few times from the mouth of Alaric.

"Yes, this branch is the biggest within the Blood Realm. It’s a pity that the new king hasn’t taken his time to sign the verification certificate of legitimacy for it." Jake said as he pointed at the door. "Just that door is made of Steel Lizard’s hide. That material is one of the most durable materials one can find in our world. It fetches a high price because it’s one of the main materials for smithing a heavenly-grade armor."

Natasha’s face became indescribable at this moment as she found it amusing. ’The king in your mouth is just beside you. Still, King Ian doesn’t seem to be taking his role seriously. He hasn’t even signed a certificate for such an important place as the Adventurer’s Guild?’

Ian was oblivious to Natasha’s thoughts. ’Huh? I didn’t sign what?’

As he thought of this, Ian tried to recall really hard, then he remembered the paperwork works a top his desks that had been there for a hundred years. ’Wait... Didn’t let Alaric take care of it. Don’t tell me he forgot about it and left it on my desk for hundreds of years.’ Ian became speechless. If that’s the case, that’s certainly a negligence on his part.

Though, in the first place however, he left the management of the Blood Empire to the Vampire Council since he didn’t want to be constrained with those damned paper works.
