Chapter 53: Origin-Grade Fruit
"Let’s go. I really want to see what’s so important in there to be guarded by such a powerful beast." Ian looked at the green flickering dot ahead of them with excitement. He licked his lips at the thought of obtaining something valuable. "That bastard deer said that he’s waiting for his master, right? If so, who was powerful enough to subdue such a beast? How valuable is the item inside?"
Hearing this, the Grand Elder shook his head in bewilderment. "Let’s hurry, it won’t be good if we encounter the so-called master. It’ll surely be dangerous even for us. If the servant was already that powerful, its master must be a being that we can’t afford to encounter for now..."
Ian nodded: "What you said makes sense. Let’s go!"
The two of them quickly made their way to the flickering green dot. The Grand Elder intertwined his fingers for two seconds before a green portal appeared before them. Before Ian could open his mouth, the green portal sucked them. The suction force was so strong that Ian couldn’t even muster a bit of resistance.
Ian’s vision darkened; he couldn’t see anything but darkness, and he felt his entire body had been paralyzed. He couldn’t feel his feet or even lift his fingers.
’What the hell? Did I die or something?’
It stayed like this for a few hours. Well, at least that was how Ian thought. Fortunately, he began to feel his body again and regained his vision. He looked around him and saw the Grand Elder, who had a dazed expression, which was then replaced by clarity.
Ian and the Grand Elder had now appeared on a cliff. Strangely, their hair rose, yet there was no wind. Their clothes fluttered and then transitioned to stillness.
The sky was what drew the two together. An orange sky with a dark blue moon. Ahead of Ian and the Grand Elder, at the edge of the cliff stood a ten-meter tree.
