Chapter 4: Eating Flesh
"Say, how do we divide the spoil?" Daniel squatted beside the corpses of the wolves with a dangerous gleam on his eyes. Then he looked at Barseagle.
Liz crossed her arm. "It should be depending on the contribution. However, captain did most of the work. We would have died if not for his assistance."
"Not me..." Ian gave out a smile. "Every head of lesser werewolf is worth 100 contribution points, right? Then, I'll take this one since it was my solo kill."
Ian went to the severed head of the werewolf he killed. He picked it up and threw it to the Barseagle. "Record this for me."
Barseagle caught the head in the air without batting an eye and nodded with a smile. "Sincr you've killed it without my help. It is only natural to get this spoil. You can also take its blood and do what you want to the body as you see fit. There's no doubt that you can make clothes out of the body of werewolves. Their bones are also good materials for crafting bow and arrows."
Then Barseagle turned his head at the three. Daniel looks uncomfortable at the thought that he won't get contribution points. But he also understood that he failed the test. It is already good if he doesn't get kick out of the team. What's more, earn contribution points? That's even more unlike.
'I still want to stay to this team and climb the ladder in the army. I should just make myself look obedient.' With that, Daniel pushed the thought of contribution points out of his mind.
Kate and Liz looked at their captain, waiting for his decision.
"The contribution points can't be credited to you three given your poor performance this time. To be honest, I can't expect newcomers like you to defeat 8 feet werewolves. The disparity of strength and speed is just there. No doubt about it." Barseagle's expression turned to difficult to read. "The problem is... Ian managed to do it. And he is the same lesser vampires like you."
