Chapter 905 - 394: Rowing Upstream (Part 2)
If it were Maya, such matters could be directly communicated. But with Shana, although it seemed like she was persuading Lin Wu, deep down she still lacked some confidence and needed Lin Wu’s approval.
After dinner, everyone gathered around to discuss the situation. Except for Xiao Wu, who asked a few questions, the rest basically supported Shana. "Basically" because the risk was significant. Even in the Tranquil Water Area, two rubber boats had been capsized, and the southwest current was swifter and more complex, with rapids being a common occurrence.
Shana shared her opinion that doubling the boat’s load would improve stability. Rapid currents meant shallow waters, so even if the boats capsized, some supplies might be recoverable. Without any better alternatives, everyone agreed to Shana’s plan.
According to Shana’s list, the necessary items were moved onto the three rubber boats. Six large water barrels were hung on the boats, and the waterproof covers of the boats were removed. Supplies like ropes were placed at the stern for towing.
The essential items list consisted of: a small generator, solar panels, a 10-kilogram bag of rice, a jar of pickles, 20 kilograms of fabric, a small tent, a set of lighters and a bundle of magnesium sticks, three pots and spoons, two sealed medical boxes and medicines, a fire axe, two kilograms of seeds, a drilling machine, a small toolbox, steel wire ropes, expansion screws, a set of spare clothes and shoes for each person, and all weaponry and ammunition.
Boat 1’s captain, Shana, equipped with Little Knife and Snow Egg, was the group with the most comprehensive abilities.
Boat 2’s captain, Stone, teamed up with Su Shi and Xiao Wu, the group with balanced physical strength.
Boat 3’s captain, Lin Wu, accompanied by Xiao Wen and Lin Meng, was the group with the strongest individual and the weakest overall capabilities.
Shana’s idea was to have the strongest boat lead, responsible for reconnaissance and handling most of the zombies. If anything happened to the lead boat, Lin Wu could provide support. Having Lin Wu on boat 1 would leave the rear boats without a core decision-maker in case of crisis.
At noon, the three boats began their new journey.
