Although Xiao Wu had witnessed Lin Wu’s performance, he could only look up to Lin Wu’s decisive actions. According to Lin Wu’s background, they had never really encountered zombies before.

They passed safely under the platform and congratulated each other with a high five continuing towards the fire station. Walking halfway, they saw a subway train stopped on the tracks with its lights still on, clearly showing an entire train full of zombies. Originally, a density of one zombie per square meter was terrifying enough, but inside the carriages, the density reached eight, maybe even ten zombies per square meter.

Some carriage windows were broken, probably caused by zombies during the process of assimilating humans. As all humans were assimilated, there were no fresh humans nearby, so the zombies in the six carriages were very quiet. They were squeezed together, expressionless and dull. Most of the zombies were dressed in suits, and at a glance, it was hard to tell if they were white-collar workers on their way to work or soulless zombies.

There were also a few zombies outside the carriages, perhaps pushed out through the windows during the assimilation process. This was a monorail subway; after a carriage was placed on the track, the space for movement on both sides was very narrow. The tunnel was round overall, and the terrain on either side of the train was curved.

Of course, not all tunnels were like this, but that was the case with this subway train. As for why it stopped here, there were many possibilities. Maybe the driver saw that the platform was filled with office worker zombies and turned towards the fire station, or maybe the subway dispatch ordered the driver to stop temporarily.

After weighing their options, the three decided to crawl. To avoid making noise in the process, they handled their firearms first. Lin Wu led the way since he also needed to deal with two zombies. Lin Meng followed behind, looking at Lin Wu’s twisting buttocks, impulsively flicked them, then immediately lowered her head upon realizing she had done something wrong.
