Lin Wu reached over and opened the passenger door, putting Blood Meng inside, "The drone is gone. They can’t track our new car for now."

After closing the door, Lin Wu ran to the driver’s side, got into the car, and drove off, comforting Blood Meng, "When we were coming here, I saw Central City Hospital. Ten minutes, ten minutes at most."

Due to the blood loss, Blood Meng spoke with much less vigor, "This kind of kindness is not advisable in an apocalypse. If you win, you merely earn enough money for a meal, but if you lose, you could end up losing everything."

"You earn points for every second you’re alive," said Lin Wu. "Hide your pistol well, because when you wake up from surgery, you might have to face the zombies alone."

Blood Meng laughed, "Can’t the zombies just eat me while I’m unconscious?"

Lin Wu replied, "That’s not necessarily the case. They might think you’re undergoing zombification since you’re so still and mistook you for an ally."

Though Blood Meng found Lin Wu’s theory dubious, she still endured her pain and tucked her pistol into her sock, inserting her police badge along with it. She hoped the doctors and nurses, upon seeing the badge, wouldn’t take her issued weapon.

Lin Wu said, "Sister, I thought you might be moved. Then you’d start babbling about how our relationship has evolved, and from now on, we’d be a disgraceful couple."

"Why is your mouth so offensive?" the drained Blood Meng got energized by anger, "So what if it’s a brother-sister romance? Why call it a disgraceful couple?"

Lin Wu asked, "How many good younger brothers do you have?"
