Chapter 665 - 316 Choose One of Two_2
Back in the days, I was the brightest kid in the village. Not to mention combating in the bloody skies of Waste City, just ten hours ago, I was still wrestling with Spider Trains. Now, I’ve become no more than a tea server.
Qinglang and Maya both showed signs of fatigue after taking down a Spider Train, one sitting at the front of the train, lost in thought, and the other leaning against the cannon, daydreaming. Meanwhile, a hint of red appeared in the east; the sun was about to rise and the remaining activity time was running out.
The last two-plus hours were very calm; the three of us watched the activity timer tick down in the train’s driver’s cabin. As the train broke through a barrier, a large human city appeared before us—this was the Final Shelter.
The train stopped at the station, Sasha got off, mission accomplished.
The train continued to move, fully automated, consuming no coal at all. All the carriages had been converted into flatbeds, providing three comfortable seats, beverages, and food, so that players could fully enjoy the beautiful scenery around them.
The remaining part of the event was the point shopping segment.
First came the badges. Lin Wu’s Gold Badge could be exchanged for 5,000 points, or he could keep the Gold Badge and choose one of the following keywords: "Fearless," "Unafraid," or "Invincible." There were no explanations for the keywords, just blind selection. Before completing the shopping, players couldn’t communicate with others.
Lin Wu instantly chose "Invincible." Invincible, hence fearless, hence unafraid. If there were enemies and you were fearless and unafraid, wouldn’t you die very quickly?
Invincible: All fractured injuries are self-healing.
Are you kidding me? I have a doctor, why would I wait in agony for a broken leg to heal itself? However, two other attributes of Invincible are barely passable, which are a 50% increase in resistance to bleeding and poisoning (up to 50%).
